“Barrataria” has undergone lots of retrofit and upgrade work between the end of 2005 and 2007. In 2005, she was equipped with new masts and booms, plus all new standing rigging. In 2006, she had new teak decks and a complete new sail inventory as listed in the section above, as well as electric winches and electric in-mast self furling. She also had an electric self-furling Genoa and electric self-furling Yankee. In 2007 she had all new steel hull and keel plates, replacing the originals from the waterline down and Awlgrip paint to the hull. The 136hp Volvo was completely rebuilt, along with the genset. A new water maker was fitted, which has yet to be used. All in all, “Barrataria” is in extremely good order and offers superb accommodation for a family that wish to go cruising long distances. She is part 3 registered on British SSR and VAT paid.
